Climbing Huangshan, these gear and poses make your photos bright and practical!

🧗🏻‍♀️Back from climbing Huangshan, flipping through my phone album, I found some gear indispensable for hiking and some poses that make great photos. 1⃣️ Bright-colored jacket + hat｜A must for photos🌈 Huangshan’s background is mainly green trees and gray rocks. Wearing a bright-colored shell jacket (bright yellow/orange-pink/red/blue) instantly pops out in the frame! For hats, casual bucket hats or baseball caps both work, They provide sun protection and make your face look smaller, and you don’t have to worry about your hair being messed up by the strong wind on the summit👒 2⃣️ Trekking poles｜Energy-saving magic wand🦯 Especially for those of us in middle age, trekking poles can reduce leg pressure by at least 30%. Also, a stylish trekking pole is a great prop for photos, so prepare one in advance! The scenic area entrance also sells bamboo poles for 3 yuan each, which are lightweight and handy, but not as good-looking for photos as trekking poles. 3⃣️ Winter special｜Cold-proof gloves🧤 The temperature on the summit is 3-8℃ lower than at the foot of the mountain! Holding trekking poles or taking photos with hands exposed for a long time can get quite cold. Fingerless gloves are recommended, keeping warm while still allowing you to operate your phone. 4⃣️ Knee pads｜Invisible protection umbrella🦵 The trail goes up and down all the way, with so many steps it makes you question life. Wearing knee pads when going downhill significantly reduces knee pain. It’s recommended to choose cross-strap types for stability and no slipping. This time climbing Huangshan felt easier than last year’s climb of Emei Mountain, and the knee pads played a big role. 5⃣️ Selfie stick｜Lone ranger’s blessing🤳 90% of my photos rely on it! For telescopic types, it’s recommended to choose one over 1.5 meters, You can even shoot sunset time-lapses at Bright Summit. (Kind reminder: some viewing platforms have high railings, politely ask passersby for help taking photos) Borrowed a young person’s beer can and took a “Brave the World” shot too 😊✌🏻. 🌟Hidden tips: Wear non-slip shoes! Carry a backpack, and prepare a thin down jacket for this season (if colder, probably a thicker one), as fog and temperature drops can happen anytime on the summit. The two days I was there were sunny and perfect for photos, though the sea of clouds was scarce.
