Hidden Gem in Hunan: Tuo Shui Yao Scenic Riverside Retreat

During my visit to the area surrounding Fenghuang Ancient Town in Hunan, I chose to stay at "Tuo Shui Yao · Tianqing Riverside Retreat," and it completely exceeded my expectations! This boutique guesthouse is located right by the Tuo River, offering picturesque views that make you feel like you're in a fairyland, especially with the morning mist enveloping the scenery. **Stunning Environment and Design** The guesthouse features a modern Chinese architectural style, with gray tiles, white walls, and wooden decor that blend seamlessly with the surrounding mountains and rivers. The rooms are spacious and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide unobstructed views of the Tuo River. At night, you can see the lights from across the river reflecting on the water—a scene so romantic it feels unreal. The bedding is comfortable, and there's a cozy seating area by the window where you can enjoy a cup of tea while soaking in the gentle river breeze. It's the perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate. **Thoughtful and Attentive Service** The owner personally greeted us and even recommended some hidden local delicacies, such as freshly caught Tuo River fish and specialty cured meats. The guesthouse offers a free shuttle service to the ancient town, saving you the hassle of carrying luggage. Breakfast includes freshly made Hunan rice noodles and rice tofu, which are both authentic and heartwarming. Although I only stayed for one night, I completely fell in love with the tranquil atmosphere here. If I ever return to Fenghuang, I will definitely stay at "Tuo Shui Yao" again.
