Isla de Gigantes

Have you ever been to Palawan or Boracay Island? If not, you can experience both places in one destination. On Gigantes Islands, you'll be stunned by the secluded Boracay like white sand beaches, sunset view, and Palawan like wonderful rock formations. You'll also get to enjoy fresh seafood at an affordable price. Gigantes Islands is located in Carles, Iloilo. From city proper, you need to ride on a bus that would take around 3 to 4 hours to reach Bancal Port in the town of Carles. The boat ride from port to the island takes about 1.5 hours. It was one of my most unforgettable experience when we were halfway to the island, the rain suddenly poured hard and the boat was tossed back and forth by the giant waves. Some passengers started to get scared and sobbed.But as for me, I just held on to my life jacket and prayed we can pass through this. And after about 15 minutes of turmoil, the weather calmed down. Thank God we were able to arrive in the island safe and sound. The best time to visit the island is during the hot summer season.
