Ise | Ise Grand Shrine Outer Shrine---Toyouke Daijingu

Ise Grand Shrine is divided into the Outer Shrine and the Inner Shrine. The Outer Shrine is Toyouke Daijingu, while the Inner Shrine is Kotai Jingu. The usual order of visiting is Outer Shrine first, followed by the Inner Shrine. The two shrines are a bit apart, requiring a shuttle bus for transportation. The Outer Shrine is closer to Ise Station, about a 15-minute walk away. The Outer Shrine, also known as Toyouke Daijingu, enshrines Toyouke Omikami, the goddess who protects food, clothing, and shelter. Additionally, there are three auxiliary shrines: Kazahinomiya, Tsuchinomiya, and Takamiya. The grounds feature numerous towering trees that require five or six people to encircle, and there are guards stationed to ensure visitors can only worship from outside the gates. The path from Ise Station to the Outer Shrine is a beautiful shopping street lined with stores, resembling a spacious and bright pilgrimage route leading directly to Toyouke Daijingu. Honestly, it's quite enjoyable to stroll through.
