In the off-season, there are fewer people, and strolling, eating, and enjoying the scenery in the village is very pleasant. My favorite food is the black-haired pig skewers! There are black-haired pig skewers sold everywhere in the village. We randomly picked one shop (photo 18), and it was really delicious!! We bought them three times in two days. The auntie was very nice and even gave us a lot of skewers the last time we bought some. For the best viewing experience, I like the Murakami Art Museum the most. You can overlook the entire Miao village from there, and the shop also has cute cats. Although you need to climb a slope to get there, it’s totally worth it. 👇About the Murakami Art Museum route guide 1. Fast direct route (about 10 minutes) Starting point: No. 1 Wind and Rain Bridge. Route: From No. 1 Wind and Rain Bridge, walk towards the viewing platform. After you see the Xijiang Police Station, turn left at the nearby intersection (Wangyue Intersection), and you will see the sign for the art museum. Just follow it. Advantage: The shortest route, suitable for visitors who want to get there quickly. Note: The entire route is uphill, so you need to climb. Remember to wear comfortable shoes. 2. Gentle scenic route (about 20-30 minutes) Starting point: Viewing platform. Route: From the viewing platform, continue walking uphill. Near the bus stop, find a stone staircase. Climb up and you will enter a wooden plank walkway. Follow the walkway, and after seeing the art museum sign, go downhill to reach it. Advantage: The route is longer but the slope is gentle, so you can walk slowly and enjoy the scenery along the way. Note: Some parts of the wooden walkway may be a bit old, so be careful.
