From November 7 to 9, 2025, the romantic Xishuangbanna Water Lantern Festival will grandly open at Gaozhuang Xishuangjing · Mekong River · Starlight Night Market! This is a romantic feast with Southeast Asian style, full of highlights. On November 7, the city-wide anticipated Miss Water Lantern finals will take place, where beauties from various regions will compete fiercely, and the champion will debut as the center in the bridal sedan chair parade the next day. On November 8, the ten-thousand-people lantern release and Lancang-Mekong cultural evening will fill the romantic atmosphere. Under the night sky, millions will gather by the Mekong River to light water lanterns, "illuminating the starry river," along with performances showcasing the cultures of the six Lancang-Mekong countries, making you feel like you’ve instantly traveled through Southeast Asia.
