Kobe 2-Day Tour

Because I went to Osaka + Kyoto + Nara last year This time I decided to go to Kobe next door to have fun and eat the legendary Kobe steak🥩 I highly recommend taking the high-speed boat to Kobe Airport after getting off the plane! ! After getting off the boat, transfer to the MRT to the city. It is super convenient and the fastest. Don't go from Kansai Airport to Osaka and then transfer to Kobe. It's super roundabout! As soon as I arrived in the city, I went to eat Kobe beef hamburger steak "Kobe Akafuji" It was delicious, but Jiweiwu is still the best🥇 After eating, I walked and strolled towards Chinatown The hotel is next to Chinatown For dinner, I went to the famous Itamae Yakiniku Ichigyu The quality of the meat is really great, I love it The next day, I went to Kobe Animal Kingdom Then I went to the supermarket to buy a lot of sashimi and sea urchin to eat It's so good! Japanese supermarkets are so good In the afternoon, I took the Kobe City Sightseeing Bus to Kitano Ijinkan But my goal is Kitano Tenmangu Shrine I really like to visit shrines⛩️ After visiting Tenmangu Shrine, I walked down the mountain Walked to Ikuta Shrine. Ikuta Shrine is larger and more beautiful overall After strolling around, I finally ate the Kobe beef ranking store I had been thinking about day and night Steak land!! The meat is so tender and delicious But for people with big appetites, it may not be enough The next day, I slept until check-out time Across the hotel is the famous chicken soba ramen I didn’t eat it last time in Tokyo, so I must try it this time After eating, I headed to Osaka~ #Kobe

Kobe Chinatown Nankin-machi

Kobe Nankinmachi The three major Chinatowns in Japan are "Kobe Nankinmachi", "Yokohama Chinatown" and "Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown". This time I went to Kobe, so of course I had to go to Nankinmachi! Nankinmachi is the common name for a narrow area between Motomachi-dori and Sakaemachi-dori in Chuo-ku, Kobe City, and is also a registered trademark of the Nankinmachi Shopping Street Revitalization Association. It is a Chinatown full of Chinese flavor. It is one of the three major Chinatowns in Japan, along with Yokohama Chinatown and Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown. There are about 100 stores concentrated in an area about 200 meters wide from east to west and 110 meters long from north to south. Kobe's Chinatown is called Nankin Street, which is written as "Nankin Machi" in Japanese characters. It is located near Motomachi Station in Kobe. It is one of the three Chinatowns in Japan and is smaller than Yokohama Chinatown. The formation of Kobe Nanjing Street can be traced back to the late Qing Dynasty. In 1867, when Kobe Port was opened, foreigners from countries that had trade treaties with Japan mainly lived in the foreign settlement in Kobe. Since the Qing Dynasty did not have a trade treaty with Japan, the Chinese at that time could only live outside the settlement. Therefore, the Chinese began to gather in the Motomachi area adjacent to the settlement, and gradually formed the current Nanjing Street after many years. The picture above shows the street view of Chang'an Gate in Kobe Nanjing Street (Nanjing Town) in the early years. On the left is the Beijing City Hotel, a Chinese-style building with very Chinese characteristics. Now both sides have been turned into high-rise buildings and have lost the atmosphere of the early years. The central location of Nanjing Street is Nanjing Street Square, where there is a purely Chinese-style dome-shaped street pavilion. Visitors can rest here and overlook the bustling street scene of Nanjing Street from the pavilion, which is quite interesting. There are also twelve stone statues and ancient costume photography spots around the street pavilion where you can take photos. When I was in Nankinmachi, I had eaten meat buns from a local old shop called "Lao Xiang Ji". Since I was revisiting the old place, of course I had to try the food I had eaten back then to reminisce. When I walked to the door of the shop, I thought I wouldn't have to queue for a long time, but I was immediately reminded by the Chinese-speaking security lady that I had to queue on the other side of the aisle... I turned around and saw that the queue was extremely long. The buns are made and steamed in the store. You can actually eat in, but the space is too small so we chose to take out. Each bun is 90 yen, but you must buy at least 3 at a time (270 yen). I watched the chef take out three meat buns from the big steamer, put them on bamboo leaves and then wrap them in oil-absorbing paper. I felt that the packaging had a very old-fashioned flavor. After taking it out of the store, I started eating it directly on the roadside. It was still quite hot when it came out of the steamer. The buns are about the size of two bites, and look a bit like the xiaolongbao (small dumplings) from Hualien. The bun skin soaked with gravy is very chewy and moist, but a little greasy; the bun filling is salty, you can try it when you go there #日本旅行 #美食日常 #Kobe #Nanjingmachi #Laoxiangji
