Krabi’s Stunning Tiger Cave Temple

I visited Tiger Cave Temple and I absolutely loved it! I arrived to Krabi Pier from Koh Phi Phi and since it was an early morning and I was traveling light, I made a delicious to head straight to Tiger Cave Temple. After negotiating the price with a Tuk-Tuk driver, I was on my way to see Krabi’s most famous tourist attraction. My tuk-tuk driver stopped at his house for a few minutes which seemed weird at first, but then I remembered that it was a normal thing in Thailand for Tuk-Tuk drivers to stop at their homes or somewhere else to pick up their family members or have lunch. Fun local culture indeed. Anyway, after a short while I arrived at my destination, The Tiger Cave Temple, but it wasn’t yet the end of my journey. To get to an actual temple there was a number of stairs to climb, actually the stairs were numbered so there was exactly 1237 stairs. The stairs were narrow but tall which made the journey even harder, considering I had a 7kg backpack on my shoulders and hovering around monkey only made it harder. After 1 hour and 1237 stairs I finally was at the summit. It was a wonderful experience since I was there all by myself, it was quiet and peaceful. After enjoying the view and taking a few pictures, a very proud me started walking down and inspiring all the tourists that had a hard time climbing those stairs. Then it was finally time to check into my hotel so I got another tuk-tuk and headed to Krabi Town. I definitely recommend visiting Tiger Cave Temple, you’ll have great time!
