Thean Hou Temple

Thean Hou Temple is one of the largest and most beautiful Chinese temples in Malaysia. It is located on Robson Heights in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It is dedicated to “Thean Hou” or Goddess of Mercy, the protector of sailors according to the beliefs of the Hokkien and Teochew Chinese. This temple features traditional Chinese architecture with a modern twist, featuring a multi-tiered arched roof, decorated with dragons, colorful ceramics and thousands of red lanterns. The atmosphere is especially lively and beautiful during the Chinese New Year festival. Inside the temple, there is a main worship hall for worshipping Goddess of Mercy, Guan Yin and other deities.
