HUALUXE Kunming: Poor service, good facilities||I wanted to find a resort hotel to relax in Kunming, and I was worried that the InterContinental would be crowded, so I chose HUALUXE. It was still full. The front desk said that all the rooms were full that day, and I couldn't change my room. I stopped a taxi, and the driver hadn't heard of the hotel. The name is hard to type, and it took a while to set the destination. It seems that HUALUXE wants to be a family-friendly resort? I saw many children in the lobby every time I passed by. Environment: There is a gate when you turn in from the main road, and it immediately becomes quiet, like a resort. The outdoor greenery is nice, and there are peacocks in the courtyard, which was a surprise. I went to the hot spring at night, and there weren't many people, so I could occupy a pool. It's close to Dianchi Lake and the Yunnan Nationalities Village, and there are dining areas nearby. It's a bit far from downtown Kunming, and it takes a long time to get to the city center. Check-in: Average. The welcome drink can be coffee or juice in the lobby. I got a flower cake snack after check-in, and there was hot mulled wine in the lobby, which was nice. 👍 Room: I got a mountain view room, but I had to walk a long way from the elevator to the room, which was tiring in hotel slippers. There is a tea set and various small tea bags in the room. I like hotels with tea sets, which made up for my impression of the hotel. The bathroom doors can be opened to connect with the bedroom. Lounge: It opens in the afternoon, and there aren't many food and drink options. The environment is average, and there are two terraces, but no heating equipment outside, which was disappointing. There were few guests, and they all sat inside. It was Christmas when I was there, and there were some Christmas snacks. I went to see the wine selection at night, and there weren't many options. Service: Overall, not very enthusiastic. I passed a front desk on the way to the outdoor hot spring, and the staff was helpful, so I'll give a good review. 👍 I saw jianbing guozi at breakfast, but I still had noodles. There were 4 toppings, and the rice noodles were thick.
