Yuantong Temple is one of the oldest and most important Buddhist temples in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. With a history of over 1,200 years, it is an important religious center of the region. 🏯 History and Significance Yuantong Temple was founded in the late 8th century during the Tang Dynasty, originally called Putuoluo Temple, and was renovated and expanded several times during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
