Our honeymoon, witnessed by the mountains and rivers (10-day New Zealand edition)

Some say a honeymoon is the first keepsake of love. Then New Zealand's South Island is the most magnificent gift we chose for each other. This 10-day New Zealand honeymoon allowed us to experience different wonders every day with my partner, mostly breathtaking moments that touched our souls. Looking back, it’s still very romantic—life is made up of just a few such moments! Here are 12 scenes we will forever remember, deeply engraved in our minds... 1️⃣ The sunset at the Church of the Good Shepherd looked like molten gold spilled by God. We stood amidst the glowing sky, our shadows stretched so long they seemed to reach eternity. 2️⃣ Under the Milky Way in Tekapo, I saw what "brilliant" truly means for the first time. The starlight sprinkled across the sky and into our eyes, shining brighter than any single star. 3️⃣ Pink and purple lupins swayed by the shimmering lake, the air filled with sweet fragrance. We ran into the flowers and became part of the painting—turns out, the flower seas in fairy tales really do exist. 4️⃣ The helicopter soared to the glacier’s peak, ice beneath our feet, engine roaring in our ears. We looked down, recorded, and felt it all. 5️⃣ The blue of Lake Pukaki is like milk mixed with gems. Gazing into the distance, that unreal blue became the calmest shade in our memories. 6️⃣ Night hike up Roys Peak, under stars and moonlight, just for the dawn. When the first light pierced the sea of clouds and lit up our sweat-soaked faces, all the exhaustion turned into worth. 7️⃣ By Lake Wanaka, eating ice cream and watching the lonely tree. Time slowed down, we did nothing but feel the breeze and daydream, and suddenly we had the whole world. 8️⃣ At the Queenstown guesthouse window, pink dawn and golden dusk took turns on stage. We lay there watching how the sky, a giant canvas, was painted with light and shadow. 🌇 9️⃣ 15,000 feet skydiving 🪂—one leap! Screaming in weightlessness, embracing in flight. From then on, no abyss in life was fearful, only the blue sky we flew through together. 🔟 Driving 🚗 on the road, with music, snacks, and ever-changing scenery. Passing valleys, grasslands, lakesides... the most beautiful thing wasn’t the destination, but the smiles we shared in the front seats. 1️⃣1️⃣ Parking by the lake to enjoy freshly caught salmon and caviar. The car window framed the view, and we framed the simplest happiness of the moment. 1️⃣2️⃣ At the end of the road, the waves of the South Pacific rolled. Facing the sea, behind us were the thousands of mountains and rivers we crossed together. It turns out, all things in heaven and earth tell the truth of love.
