Trip to Lijiang

The beauty of Lijiang is indeed as famous as it is said to be! In Lijiang, I chose the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Jinlin. Located in the suburban Laihe Ancient Town, the environment is tranquil, with connected villas and independent courtyards. You can directly enjoy the magnificent view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Shuhe Ancient Town, Baisha Ancient Town, and Lijiang Ancient City are must-visit places, each with its own characteristics. Transportation is convenient, with vehicles available both online and offline. Shuhe Ancient Town is closer to downtown Lijiang, with taxi fares around 40 yuan. Baisha Ancient Town is a bit further, with taxi fares around 80 yuan. Lijiang Ancient City feels different during the day and at night. The daytime is more suitable for strolling and photography. I highly recommend visiting the Mu Family Mansion. The Mu Family Mansion in Lijiang, also known as the Mu's Tusi Mansion, was the residence of the Naxi ethnic Mu family Tusi in Yunnan. The Mu surname was bestowed by Zhu Yuanzhang in the Ming Dynasty. Since the Mu family became hereditary Tusi (local chieftains) of Lijiang, they have gone through the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties for 22 generations, managing for over 470 years, and were the core of Lijiang Ancient City. There is a saying, 'The Forbidden City in the north, the Mu Family Mansion in the south.' The architecture of the Mu Family Mansion incorporates features of Han, Tibetan, Naxi, and other ethnic groups, with an ancient charm and unique style. In the Mu Family Mansion, there are exotic flowers and plants everywhere, especially the pigeon tree that houses giant pandas within its branches and the 600-year-old towering ancient cypress. At night, Lijiang is brilliantly lit with neon lights, offering a different style. Every spot is suitable for photography. I suggest climbing to the Wangu Pavilion on Lion Hill at night. The Wangu Pavilion in Lijiang is located at a commanding height on Lion Hill in Lijiang Ancient City and is also the backyard of the Mu Family Mansion. The Wangu Pavilion is part of the Mu Family Mansion, the estate of the Mu family Tusi. The Wangu Pavilion, illuminated by night lights, is dazzlingly beautiful, like a fairyland. For Lijiang cuisine, I recommend trying the Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles and black goat meat, which are truly exceptional in flavor!
