Union station, an art deco gem in Los Angeles

Union Station is the main rail and transport hub for Los Angeles, located downtown in the old historical district. It was built in the 1930’ and serves as a stunning example of Spanish style art deco architecture, it has become infamous for it’s design and is often used as a filming location. It has features in films, TV shows and countless music videos - so even though you haven’t been there you will probably recognise it. The interior features countless pieces of art and stunning architectural elements, even though the station is relatively small it has been beautifully restored and offers a fascinating glimpse at the golden era of travel. These days it’s a hub for the cities bus, rail and long distance Amtrak services so it is a very busy place to be, but worth popping along just to take a look around one of the most beautiful buildings in Los Angeles. #timetotravel #losangeles #california #la #architecture #railway
