A Complete Guide to Macau Day Trip

Getting There from Hong Kong: 1. Take Mtr to Sunny Bay Station. Exit A and take B5 bus to Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facility. Buy a bus ticket to Macau. From there it's pretty easy to navigate, follow the human flow and sign. 2. Once arrive at Macau, take the free bus from any hotel. If you are not going to stay in Macau but going back to Hong Kong or Zhuhai, I suggest to drop your luggage at Grand Lisboa Taipa. It's free but make sure to keep the ticket! 3. Head straight to Macau Mainland with the free bus and return to Taipa / Cotai from any hotel with the free bus! (I suggest to go mainland then return to Cotai/Taipa for all the beautiful lightings, music show of all the grand hotels. They off the light around 9pm) 4. Leave Macau with the free bus to the Port / back to HongKong~ Attractions: Margaret's Cafe e Nata / Street food - St Dominic's Church - Senado Square - Mandarin's House - Rue da Felicidade - Rue dos Ervanios - Bamu Bakery / Number Iron Bubble Waffle / Coconut Ice Cream - Ruins of St Paul - Monte Fort Corridor - 文记咖啡 / 蟹黄捞 / the Golden Tang Dessert - Rotunda de Carlos Da Maia - Rue Nova A Guia (Famous photo spot for a hotel) Wynn Palace (free musical water fountain & cable car) - MGM Cotai - St Regis - The Parisian - Londoner Court - the Venetian Macao - Galaxy Hotel (musical lighting) - Grand Lisboa (free drink and food in the casino) Food & Restaurants: Portuguese Egg Tart - Margaret's Cafe e Nata - 一燕糖甜品 (I feel their egg tart is the best) - Bamu bakery - Cocos Hung Heng Coconut icecream - 文记咖啡 (Peanut butter pork cutlet bolo bun) - Tang Golden Dessert [Tips] - You don't have to change to Macau Dollar. Use Hongkong Dollar or Chinese Yuan. (HKD much more worth it) - Try to take the earliest trip to Macau so that you have plenty of time to chill around. If you follow this trip for example, I leave hkg around 9am and only able to start touring around 2pm. Left at about 10pm to catch the last bus to ZhuHai Port. #macau #macau101 #myitinerary
