A Day Trip to Manchester! 🏛️

The wonderful thing about Manchester is its accessibility. Taking the Bee network (trams!) or buses can get you just about everywhere in the city. Here are some must-go options for a day trip: Slide 1-2: Chinatown • The spot to get Asian cuisine (Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Hong Kong classic cha chaan teng) and imported goods • I prefer this over London’s Chinatown, with less tourist traps and more variety for good prices Slide 3-6: Manchester Central Library • Beautiful stained glass detail on windows and a huge collection of both historical and modern books and genres • There are working spaces throughout the buildings if you wish to take a quiet break, as well as pianos for people to play on for free and a cafe for refreshments Slide 7-11: Manchester Cathedral • An absolute breathtaking monument right in the heart of the city centre. The choir and service are serene and peaceful if you manage to catch it. You can chip in a donation if you would like! Slide 12-14: Museums • The Manchester Museum is situated near the University of Manchester, and a straight path from the city centre if you choose to walk.
