When I went in mid-February 2024, even though this year it was hot and cold, I would definitely get the cold here. If I have the chance, I would like to stay at a ryokan there for a night. The weather when I went was that it rained the day before, so the snow melted. When I arrived on the way back, it was snowing. I really liked it, but I almost got sick. 😅 🥶 The walkway was quite tiring. It was about 2 km. Be careful not to slip and fall. The path is wet. You have to use a shoe grip to prevent slipping. Before entering the entrance, there was a screen to see how many monkeys were soaking in the hot spring so that we could decide whether to continue or not. Okay, when I saw them, I had to hurry up and walk. When I walked into the forest, it was very beautiful. I didn't get to take all the pictures. You have to see it with your own eyes. At least once in your life 😊 🙊When you get there, you have to pay another 800 yen entrance fee per person before seeing the monkeys and then walk a little bit more. That's a natural hot spring in the middle of a valley. It's very beautiful and the little ones are soaking in the pool. There are also many people. The little ones are very cute, not naughty, not mischievous, calm and soft. Are these real monkeys? They are worthy of being Japanese monkeys. The rule is not to feed them. There are many photos taken. ⛄️For this trip, it took about 1 day. Take a bus from Nagano city back and forth for 40 minutes each way. Walk around the mountain for about 2-3 hours. It's very easy to travel. Or if you rent a car, it's also convenient.
