Magome-juku

Magome Juku ⛩️🎏🌿 is a town located near the Kiso Valley, which in the past was a town where travelers traveling on the Nakasendo route between Edo and Kyoto often stayed overnight. It has now been renovated, creating beautiful scenery while still maintaining the old town of the Edo period, making it an important tourist attraction in Gifu Prefecture.  🍁🙏🍂 The atmosphere in the town consists of cobblestone streets and old houses with wooden lattice windows, and souvenir shops, giving the atmosphere and smell of the Edo period. ⛩️🎏🍁 The name of the town, Magome, comes from a story that has been told: Since the roads and paths here are quite steep, when travelers stay here, they have to tie their horses to the hotel because the steepness of the ground makes it impossible for horses to travel on. 📍 Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan 🚆 Nakatsugawa Station, take the bus and get off at the Magome stop. #TravelJapan
