Snow in Nanjing ❄️

Getting snowfall in Nanjing is very less and happens once or twice in a year. The mountains are the most beautiful in Nanjing while snowing ❄️🗻. But if you don't want to hike or need some places with easy access then you can consider Confucius temple area, Nanjing 1912 block and Xuanwu lake in Downtown. The pictures I have attached are from Confucius temple and 1912 block. Getting there: Nearest metro station to Confucius temple area is Fuzimiao and Nanjing 1912 block is Daxingong 🚇. All these places are of free entrance and very close to the metro stations #snow #nanjing #travelinspiration #nanjing

Zhongshan Mountain National Park

Exploring Nanjing: Why This Historic City Needs To Be On Your China Bucket List 🇨🇳🍂 Nanjing packs in legends, nature, and food—all wrapped in jaw-dropping autumn scenery. If the must-try Nanjing duck doesn’t convince you, the layers of old and new totally will. Here’s how to make the most of a short visit. Top Spots To Visit: 1. Zhongshan Mountain Scenic Area (紫金山/钟山景区) Must-see: Lingmen (ling gate) and nearby landmarks. This place is packed with mausoleums and ancient monuments, so plan for a full-day hike and cultural deep dive. Bring comfy shoes and snag park maps at the entrance. Address: East Zhongshan Road, Xuanwu District, 7:00–17:00. 2. Niushoushan Culture Tourist Zone (牛首山文化旅游区) Don’t miss Foding Palace and Foding Tower—it’s an architectural wonder with epic mountain views. Early morning or late afternoon gives the best light for photos (especially that autumn gold!). Address: No.6 Niushou Avenue, Jiangning District, 8:30–17:00. 3. Laomendong Old Street (老门东) + Confucius Temple Area (夫子庙) Walkable, bursting with vibes—ancient city gates, cozy alleys, boutiques, and street eats. Duck into a tea shop, taste local snacks, and grab shots of the traditional Chinese rooftops. Pro Tips: – If it’s cloudy or rainy, parks get misty and mystical; sunny afternoons = best for architecture pics📸. – Transport: Metro is fast and English-friendly; taxis are cheap if split with friends. – Food: Go for the Nanjing salted duck (盐水鸭) at any legit local restaurant around Confucius Temple. – Best time: Autumn (Sep–Nov) brings stunning colors—pack light layers! – Most spots accept card/mobile pay, but carry some cash for street food. #NanjingTravel #ChinaHistory #FoodieTrip #AutumnWalk #CulturalExplorer #nanjing #nanjingchina #china

Nanjing

Beyond the grandeur of the exhibition halls, one of the most unexpected delights of the Nanjing Museum is its surrounding campus. Take a moment to step out and appreciate the tranquility of the traditional gardens and courtyards nestled between the main buildings. These spaces offer a peaceful oasis away from the crowds, allowing you to reflect on the ancient history you’ve just witnessed. The meticulous landscaping, featuring classical ponds, stone bridges, and strategically placed scholar rocks, perfectly embodies the quiet aesthetic of Chinese art. It's the ideal spot to enjoy a few minutes of calm, perhaps sipping a cup of tea, and appreciating how the architecture and nature blend seamlessly—a reminder that beauty is often found in the pause.#nanjing #awesomepic

Nanjing Museum

If you're a history and culture enthusiast, the Nanjing Museum (南京博物院) is not merely a sight to see—it is an essential journey through time during your visit to China. From the moment you arrive, the museum’s main structure makes a grand statement with its glazed tiles and traditional palace-style architecture, fitting for one of the nation’s top three museums. What I love most is the sheer scale and diversity of the exhibition halls. Don't just stick to the main historical section! Spend time wandering through the Historical Exhibition Hall to marvel at national treasures from the prehistoric era up to the Qing Dynasty—exquisitely crafted bronze ritual vessels, intricately carved jade pieces, and pottery dating back thousands of years. Every artifact narrates a compelling story of dynastic rise and fall. One area you absolutely cannot miss is the Republican-era Street, a unique feature rarely seen in museums. They’ve recreated a bustling street scene from Nanjing during the 1920s and 1930s, complete with old shops, cinemas, and period architecture. Stepping inside feels like walking onto a historical movie set—it’s an incredibly fun and photogenic part of the visit. The Nanjing Museum is also a sanctuary for art lovers. Be sure to check out the Art Exhibition Hall for its magnificent collection of traditional Chinese paintings and calligraphy, showcasing the evolution of artistic styles throughout the ages. Travel Tip: This museum is vast, so plan to spend at least half a day and prioritize the sections you wish to explore to avoid museum fatigue. It truly is a rewarding trip that offers profound insight into the cultural heart of China.#awesomepic #nanjing
