Nanjing Jiming Temple Cherry Blossom Viewing Guide for Spring

• Best viewing time: Based on past experience and Nanjing weather forecasts, the peak bloom of cherry blossoms at Jiming Temple is expected to be around March 23 this year, and the best viewing period is from March 21 to 31. To avoid the crowds, you can choose to go in the early morning from 6–7am, or in the evening from 4–6pm, when the light is soft and the photo effects are good. You can also enjoy the cherry blossoms at night. • Transportation guide: It is recommended to take subway Line 3 or Line 4 to Jiming Temple Station, exit from Exit 5, and walk straight for about 300m to reach the Cherry Blossom Avenue. During the cherry blossom season, Jiming Temple Road is closed to traffic on weekends, and parking spaces are limited, so driving is not recommended. • Tour route: Enter Cherry Blossom Avenue from Jiming Temple Road, and stroll around to enjoy the cherry blossoms and take pictures. Then go to the ancient Jiming Temple, and take photos of the Medicine Buddha Pagoda and the flying eaves on the right-hand side of the Pilu Hall. After exiting Jiming Temple, walk to Jiefangmen and climb the city wall to take a panoramic view of the S-bend of Cherry Blossom Avenue.
