Before heading back, I wandered down Narita Omotesando, the traditional shopping street leading to the temple. The street buzzed with activity—vendors grilling eel, mochi stalls, and souvenir shops housed in traditional wooden buildings. I couldn’t resist trying freshly grilled unagi (eel), which was incredibly tender and flavorful—a perfect treat after exploring the temple. This day trip offered me a glimpse into Japan beyond its bustling cities—a place where history quietly thrives and beauty is found in the smallest details.
