Exploring the All-Season Beauty of Can Guang Liao Mountain

Can Guang Liao Mountain, located near the famous Jinguashi Scenic Area, stands at an elevation of 739 meters, making it the highest peak in the Keelung volcanic group. The lush silvergrass that blankets the area is a distinctive feature of the mountain. Every autumn, the silvergrass blooms, shimmering under the sunlight, which is said to be the origin of the name "Can Guang Liao." The trail to Can Guang Liao Mountain stretches nearly 5 kilometers and takes approximately 3 hours to complete. The path is relatively flat and easy to navigate. With no taller mountain ranges surrounding it and no large obstructions at the summit, Can Guang Liao Mountain offers unparalleled panoramic views. It is marked as a first-class triangulation point. On clear days, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the Northeast Coast, Grass Mountain, Keelung Mountain, Wuer Teapot Mountain, and Banping Mountain. The Taipei 101 skyscraper is also visible, giving visitors the illusion of being atop a towering peak. In spring, a leisurely walk here reveals a stunning blend of blue seas, verdant hills, and delicate pink azaleas.
