2 days 1 night, from Changsha to Ningxiang, exchanging for a passionate summer In the scorching July heat of Changsha, my friends and I decided to take a short self-driving trip from Changsha to Ningxiang, starting a romantic exchange plan with summer. 🚗 Transportation guide: We chose to drive ourselves, departing from Changsha. The road was smooth, and it took about 1 hour to reach Ningxiang. The scenery along the way was picturesque, and our mood grew more and more excited. First stop: Changsha Fantawild Oriental Heritage 🕙 Opening hours: 09:30 - 21:00 (summer hours, please check official updates) As soon as we entered Fantawild, it felt like stepping into a magical world of Eastern mythology. Various amusement projects themed on traditional Chinese culture were dazzling. We tried "Fly with You," a naked-eye 5D effect that made us feel like we were soaring over the beautiful rivers and mountains of our country, with the breeze on our faces and mist swirling around. The immersive experience was breathtaking. There was also "Eternal Elegance," where ancient masterpieces came to life through high-tech displays, allowing us to deeply appreciate the charm of ancient art. 🍽 The park also offers a rich variety of food, including the famous Changsha stinky tofu, crispy on the outside and tender inside, smelling pungent but tasting delicious; and fragrant grilled sausages, perfect for a quick energy boost after walking around. 💰 Average cost: About 280 RMB for tickets, around 100 RMB per person for food Second stop: Huitang Hot Spring From Fantawild, it’s about a 1-hour drive to Huitang Hot Spring. This is one of China’s three famous high-temperature compound hot springs, with a history of over 2,000 years. 🖼 Environment: Surrounded by mountains with fresh air. The hot spring area has various pools scattered around, including herbal pools, milk pools, rose pools, and more. Soaking in the warm spring water, all the fatigue of the day melted away. Looking up at the starry sky and feeling the summer night breeze was extremely pleasant. 💰 Average cost: About 200 RMB for the hot spring ticket Accommodation recommendation: We stayed at Huitang Huatian City Hot Spring Resort Hotel. The hotel environment was elegant, the rooms clean and comfortable, and it was very convenient to walk directly from the room to the hot spring area. The price for one night was about 500 RMB. Day two: Breakfast was served at the hotel with a wide variety, including local specialty rice noodles with fresh and delicious soup. Third stop: Tanhe Ancient City 🕙 Opening hours: 09:00 - 21:00 Walking into Tanhe Ancient City felt like traveling back 3,000 years to the Western Zhou Dynasty. The ancient city’s architecture was quaint and charming, with a variety of shops lining the streets. Here, we watched the large-scale song and dance drama "Tanhe Eternal Love," set against the backdrop of the Western Zhou Dynasty, telling the love story between Ning’er and King Wu. The stage effects were stunning, and the actors’ performances were brilliant, making us feel as if we were in that era of war and romance. 🍽 For lunch, we tasted Ningxiang flower pork, tender and flavorful without being greasy, and Huangcai organic male fish, with rich fish soup and fresh fish meat. 💰 Average cost: About 200 RMB for ancient city admission and show tickets, around 80 RMB per person for food This 2-day 1-night short self-driving trip to Ningxiang allowed us to experience excitement and fantasy at Fantawild, relaxation and comfort at the hot springs, and history and culture at Tanhe Ancient City. Escaping the hustle and bustle of Changsha, we found summer’s coolness and beauty in Ningxiang. This exchange plan with summer was totally worth it!
