The best time to visit the grasslands is from June to August. Here, you can see the Ergun River, the border line, and a quaint Russian town. The grasslands are treeless, offering endless breathtaking views! The most famous activity here is grass skiing. The grasslands boast the longest grass skiing track. With one ticket, you get one ride. If you want a video of your experience, you can purchase a grass skiing video for RMB 40 as a keepsake. Since the tour guide took photos for me, I didn’t buy the video. 😆 The scenic area also offers travel photography services, including makeup, starting at around RMB 399. It’s quite affordable, especially if you’re interested in Mongolian-themed travel photography. Another must-try activity is the giant grassland swing. It costs RMB 50 per person for a 3-minute ride. The swing goes incredibly high, and it’s highly recommended for thrill-seekers who aren’t afraid of heights.
