Orava Castle perched on the cliffs by the Orava River

According to the schedule found on cp.sk, take a bus to Orava Castle (approximately a 50-minute ride). Orava Castle (Oravský hrad) is situated on a 112-meter-high cliff by the Orava River. Built in the 13th century during the Kingdom of Hungary, it has undergone multiple ownership changes, fires, and reconstructions. It is considered one of the most beautiful castles in Slovakia and attracts many visitors. Inside the castle, you can find displays of old furniture, decorations, and items used in the daily lives of nobles. Climbing the stairs to the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding scenery, including mountains, rivers, farmland, and houses.
