There’s also a McDonald’s nearby—super handy! The hotel’s location is a bit remote and quiet, making it perfect for those who prefer to stay away from the bustling city center. However, crossing the main road to reach the hotel can be a challenge. The decor is simple, and the lobby is small but tidy. The front desk staff were friendly during check-in, though early check-in wasn’t allowed, so I had to wait a few hours upon arrival. The restaurant looked decent. 🍴 The rooms are basic but spacious and clean, with some even featuring a mini-fridge and kettle. However, the cleaning wasn’t always thorough, and the bathrooms could be cleaner. The pillows and beds were comfortable, though some rooms might have a slight odor—luckily, mine was fine. The Wi-Fi was stable, great for those who need to work. There are plenty of nearby attractions, such as the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, which you can easily include in your itinerary. First, the cleaning service needs improvement—my room wasn’t cleaned properly a few times. Second, some facilities are outdated, and noise can be an issue, especially in rooms near the train station. Most importantly, thefts are frequent, so be sure to lock your luggage for safety. In summary, the Best Western Plus Amsterdam Hotel offers good value for money and a quiet location, but it’s not ideal for tourists without transportation. If you have a car, it’ll be much more convenient. All in all, it’s suitable for budget travelers who just need a place to sleep.
