Chasing dramas all the way to Penang

Penang was the filming location for a Hong Kong drama many years ago. The murals in George Town take some time to explore. If you have more time, I recommend taking a trishaw, which will take you to various mural sites for photo opportunities. It's a great option! George Town isn't too big, but it's still small enough to explore, so you'll need some stamina. While I'm here, I decided to explore Batik, a new take on traditional batik. A local designer runs a shop and studio. If you love fabrics, you should definitely consider visiting; you absolutely must support their creativity. I found myself in Penang with a wide variety of appetites. 🍻 I went back because I found the food delicious! 📍George Town You can't explore it all in a day. There's plenty of street photography to be found everywhere. It blends modern and vintage elements, and combines creativity, food, and travel. George Town is located in the northeast of Penang Island and is the capital of Penang State, Malaysia. Georgetown, a World Heritage area centered around a cluster of historical buildings, is home to distinctive buildings that blend British colonial style with Chinese shophouses. These include the Bank Building and Colombo Leesburg, which was once an important port during the British colonial era. 📍Moh Teng Pheow Nyonya Koay, a Nyonya dessert factory, where you can try all the delicious Nyonya pastries. —Walk through 📍Little India — 📍Penang Nyonya Museum, where you can take photos of traditional costumes —Lunch at 📍OO White Coffee Waterfall — 📍Mutoukong Lane, where the mural street begins and Rainbow Lane...I love exploring the beautiful streets and alleys of this city. The aroma of durian wafts nearby, so I ate durian in an air-conditioned room. 🤍 — 📍Chow Sing Bridge — 📍Toh Soon Cafe, where you can enjoy afternoon tea. The iced kopi is delicious and sweet. The half-boiled egg toast with coffee is a must-try for breakfast in Malaysia. — 📍Better than blouses, where you can support the fusion of tradition and creativity — 📍Middle Road, where you can buy souvenirs — 📍Cheri Taman Nyonya cuisine, where you can end the day with Nyonya cuisine. Tired but satisfied. Food 🤤 📍Toh Soon Cafe has been in Penang for over 60 years. It started out as a street stall, a bit like the stalls at Qingzhou Zaoji and Shiji in Macau. Now, it's moved indoors, where you can savor the delicious food in the comfort of your air-conditioned room. They specialize in a variety of homemade breads and a special blend of half-coffee, half-milk tea (like a Hong Kong-style 'Yuan Yang'). It's a perfect way to cool down in the hot weather. Pair it with the savory and sweet kaya bread or soft-boiled egg toast for a truly unique experience. 📍Moh Teng Pheow Nyonya Koay We've got all the pastries!
