#Places to visit near Bangkok "Phra Chula Fort" is a water fortress located in Laem Fa Pha Subdistrict, Phra Samut Chedi District, Samut Prakan Province. At present, Phra Chula Fort is under the care of the Bangkok Naval Base. Interesting points include paying homage to the royal monument of King Chulalongkorn, visiting the Mae Klong Naval Ship Museum, and the club's restaurant. Phra Chula Fort is another important tourist attraction in Samut Prakan Province. When was it built? There is no clear evidence, but it is estimated that it was built around March 1884 during the reign of King Chulalongkorn to protect against invasions from England and France, which was a suitable location if enemy warships invaded through the river mouth. This fort was built as a Western-style cannon fortress and installed 7 155 mm Armstrong cannons, which were considered the main weapons of this place.

Fort Phra Chulachomklao is a fort near the mouth of the Chao Phraya River, located in Laem Fa Pha Subdistrict, Samut Prakan Province. It was built around 1884 during the reign of King Chulalongkorn to protect the mouth of the river from invasions by the British and French. This fort was built as a Western-style cannon fort and was considered the most modern fort in Thailand at that time. This fort fought a French warship during the crisis of R.S. 112. Currently, the Royal Thai Navy has set up a museum for the public to visit in the area of the fort, along with the HTMS Mae Klong, which was considered a teacher's ship for the Thai military, for visitors to see as well. #VisitHistoricalSite #VisitHistoricalSite
