Museum Phuket Blends History, Culture, and Interactive Exhibits

#phukettrip Museum Phuket is a hidden gem worth visiting! This museum beautifully blends history, culture, and interactive exhibits. Housed in two historic buildings, one of which was once the Chartered Bank, it showcases Phuket’s tin mining past and the rich Peranakan heritage. I enjoyed stepping into the mock bank safe room and exploring old artifacts and photos that brought Phuket’s history to life. The Peranakan section was fascinating, and I even got to try on traditional costumes! Before leaving, I created my own souvenir—colouring an ang ku kuih (my favourite kuih of all time) design and turning it into a fridge magnet, all for just 20 THB! Best part? Entry is FREE! Open Tuesday to Sunday, it’s a great way to experience Phuket beyond its beaches. If you love history and culture, don’t miss this place!
