Nikon Marine Phuket Racha Island & Coral Island Tour

I visited at the end of August during the rainy season. The sea was rough that day. It took about 35–40 minutes from the port to Racha Island, about 25 minutes from Racha Island to Coral Island, and 10 minutes from Coral Island back to the port. The pickup was from a hotel in Phuket Old Town. The 14-seater van arrived about 5 minutes past the scheduled time of 8:00 AM, and the drop-off was also done using a similar vehicle. [Tour Itinerary] 1. Arrival at Racha Island (about 30 minutes on the beach) 2. Those staying on the beach remain there, while those snorkeling board a boat (less than 10 minutes travel time) 3. Snorkeling for about 30–40 minutes, then return to Racha Island to pick up those who stayed on the island 4. Travel to Coral Island for a buffet lunch 5. Free time on Coral Island until 3:45 PM, then return to the port 6. Arrival at the port and transfer back to accommodations by team Before boarding the boat, the guide explains the weather conditions, wave height, and tour schedule in English. However, since the meeting times are written on paper, English proficiency is not essential. ⚠️ Important Notes: During the rainy season, the sea is often rough, causing the boat to bounce and shake significantly. This tour is not suitable for those with back problems, herniated discs, or elderly parents. Sitting at the front of the boat can be particularly bumpy, with a strong jolting sensation, making seasickness likely. There is some exhaust smell at the start, and you may get splashed with water during the ride. If you're prone to seasickness, it's better to sit at the back. ⭐ Seasickness medication is not provided, so make sure to bring your own or ask the guide in advance. Inhaling the scent of "Ya Dom" (a Thai herbal inhaler) can help alleviate seasickness. At Racha Island, the sunbeds in the center of the beach are paid, but the shaded area near the black rocks by the bridge from the boat to the beach is close to the sea, so renting a sunbed may not be necessary. On Coral Island, there are plenty of free orange-striped sunbeds, but you can opt for paid ones if needed. The guide mentioned that snorkeling is possible from the beach on Coral Island, but the water was too murky due to the waves. For a proper snorkeling experience, you need to do it at Racha Island, where you jump directly into the sea from the yacht (life jackets are provided). It's recommended to practice using a snorkel and breathing techniques in a pool beforehand. On Coral Island, the restrooms have attached shower facilities, but the water is salty and only suitable for rinsing off sand. ✅ Restroom locations: one behind the restaurant and another at the back right side of the island. Based on my experience, the water color at Racha Island and Coral Island is quite similar. If you prefer not to spend too much time on a boat and would rather relax by a beautiful sea than snorkel, a tour to Coral Island alone might be a better option.
