Back from Pingtan, my travel luck is pretty amazing

I have to admit, I do have some travel luck with me. Playing in Pingtan, the forecast said cloudy, but the sky was perfectly clear, showing the most beautiful side of Pingtan. On the day I left, it was a bit cloudy and then there was a heavy rainstorm. Same thing happened in Xiamen—sunny but hot, and after I left, it rained heavily. Perfect timing to avoid the rain, my luck is just too good. Now let me share some of my travel experiences in Pingtan with you all. 1️⃣ Recently, Pingtan has been all cloudy and windy, with rain in the afternoon and evening! Even if it doesn’t rain during the day, the weather is still gray and gloomy. It’s impossible to see the Blue Tears at times like this 😭, so make sure to check the weather forecast before you come, folks. 2️⃣ Don’t be fooled by the sea breeze! The UV rays can still burn your skin badly, so apply sunscreen thickly and reapply frequently! When going to the rocky coastal areas, wear non-slip shoes—falling can hurt for days, trust me! 3️⃣ Don’t expect to buy nice skirts at the night market in Pingtan. The skirt styles are outdated, prices are high, and quality is average. Some sellers don’t even bargain. If you want good photos, prepare your outfits well before you go. 4️⃣ North Port Village and Changjiang’ao are each best visited in a day, don’t rush to do both in one day. Riding a bike around the island road takes about 40 minutes. If you get motion sickness easily, bring medicine or you’ll feel awful all morning. 5️⃣ Don’t stubbornly stick to the viewing platform at Xianren Well! The photo angles from the black rocky area below are amazing! Go after 4 PM to avoid the sun and catch the orange-flavored sunset glow. Every shot looks like a cinematic masterpiece~ 6️⃣ Shipaiyang, Tannan Bay, and Elephant Trunk Bay all require at least half a day to explore. For example, to get photos of the deserted beach at Tannan Bay, catch the first bus and go early for the best tide and seafood. Later it gets crowded with people! 7️⃣ Dress appropriately when visiting Haitan Ancient City, don’t wear too revealing clothes. The area is heavily commercialized. For cultural souvenirs, check out the Weifu Society art shop, which has many creative products and even a photo printer. I bought several unique fridge magnets there. 8️⃣ Longwangtou Beach stretches 9.5 kilometers, so don’t just crowd near the entrance. The middle section of the beach offers unobstructed views of stunning sunsets with fewer people around. 9️⃣ If you’re not chasing the Blue Tears, there’s no need to specifically visit Maotouqian. For a fishing village vibe, North Port Village or Dongxiang Island are better choices. Maotouqian is just a small hill and not as great as some online reviews say. 🔟 The best food in Pingtan is hidden in residential areas! These places are tested and won’t disappoint: Maoji Seafood Porridge (fresh shrimp and crab porridge), Agao Minnan Satay Hotpot (broth so rich it makes you cry!), Nostalgia Fujian Folk Cuisine (traditional Fujian dishes), Old Mazha Street Hotpot (best for late-night snacks, great value), Today Off Work (seafood fusion stall), Yucu Seafood Stall (authentic Pingtan flavors, seafood caught and cooked fresh), Wumei Roasted Duck (high cost-performance, perfect for couples). 1️⃣1️⃣ Hidden gems: Northern Ecological Corridor: the most beautiful windmill sea, every photo looks like a masterpiece!
