Wulanhada Volcano

The Wulanhada volcanic group is located in Chahar Right Rear Banner. The Wulanhada Volcano erupted approximately 26,000 years ago and has been dormant for around 6,000 years. Its elevation ranges between 1,400 and 1,600 meters. Situated on the edge of the Inner Mongolia Plateau, it is the only volcanic group in the area with evidence of past eruptions. The lava flows from the volcanic eruptions, influenced by the terrain, passed through rivers, valleys, and marshlands, creating new landscapes such as stone rivers, stone lakes, stone seas, stone birds, and stone beasts, forming a unique volcanic grassland scenery. The volcanic eruptions were massive in scale, with well-developed lava flow terraces and volcanic dammed lakes, making it a natural volcanic "museum" hidden deep within the grasslands.
