I love Qingdao

🤹🏼♂️🤹🏻This trip was inspired by the kids who wanted to follow the series 'When I Fly Towards You,' giving us the opportunity to visit Qingdao. The plan was simple and flexible, changing as we went along. It was a family trip, enjoying food and sightseeing at our own pace while spending quality time together. Traveling here is easy. Qingdao Airlines offers direct flights, which can be booked via trip.com. The flight takes 4 hours from BKK to TAO. The airline provides good service, including snacks. ✈️ Upon arrival at Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, immigration procedures were quick. It's recommended to fill out the required information beforehand. Once you arrive, you can print and sign the form. You can also scan the web link during check-in for instructions. If you can't fill it out in advance, you can do so at the airport. 🚕 The most convenient way to get into the city is by using Didi. It's affordable and can be booked via the Alipay app. We headed to the hotel first to drop off our luggage. 🌈 We had 7 days to explore Qingdao at a relaxed pace. The weather was fantastic, with temperatures ranging from 16-18°C, cool and comfortable with occasional light rain. It's a good idea to bring some basic medications like paracetamol, fever reducers, antihistamines, throat spray, and remedies for stomach or leg pain. Qingdao offers a variety of experiences—mountains, the sea, cityscapes, temples, pedestrian streets, shopping, and seafood. 🌊🧥🏕️🏡 Most locals speak Chinese (99.99%), so we used translation apps like Alipay Translate or Baidu Translate to communicate. The public restrooms in Qingdao are better than expected, though they don't have bidet sprays. 🚶♀️➡️🚶♀️➡️Zhangshan Pedestrian Street is a great place for a leisurely stroll. It's colorful, with plenty of photo spots, shops, and food stalls. We loved it here and even came across a charming Christian church. 🎡 At Zhongshan Park, you can take a cable car ride. While the ticket price is a bit steep, the views are worth it. The park is spacious, with lush greenery and a cool temperature of 19°C. 🍻 A must-visit is the Tsingtao Beer Museum. Entry is Y60 per person, payable in cash or via Alipay. Don't forget your passport. 💕 The May Fourth Square comes alive at night with a light and sound show by the sea, live music, and a pleasant 16°C breeze. 🎨 Longjiang Road is home to adorable street art inspired by the world of cartoons, surrounded by small cafes and restaurants. 🥰 The Red Wall (Yushan Road) is a 468-meter-long red wall at Qingdao University, considered an art museum in itself. 😇 Btaitung Pedestrian Street is perfect for a casual stroll and food hunting, reminiscent of Bangkok's Chinatown. 😍 Silver Fish Pedestrian Street offers cafes and restaurants in a cozy atmosphere, ideal for a short walk. 🥰 Badaguan features stunning architecture, beaches, parks, and rock gardens. It's a beautiful spot to watch the sunset by the beach. 😘 Zhongshan Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in Qingdao, has an entry fee of Y10 per person (Y5 for students). 🏢 Recommended hotels include InJiaobao Hotel near Zhangshan Pedestrian Street and Qingdao May Fourth Square Vientiane City LANOU Hotel. Both offer excellent service, friendly staff, and convenient locations near attractions. Finding food is easy, with nearby convenience stores like 7-Eleven. ❤️ I fell in love with the charm of Qingdao. 💕🍻 The people are lovely, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the weather is delightful. It offers a complete experience—mountains, the sea, city life, temples, pedestrian streets, shopping, and seafood. 😇😇 If you have the chance, visit Qingdao.
