⛱️ My Relaxing 秦皇岛 Getaway !

Day 3 ! I began by soaking in the tranquil atmosphere at Weilan Hai’an (渭澜海岸) and Xianluo Island (仙螺岛) — two quiet seaside gems where soft waves lap gently against the shore and the fresh ocean breeze clears the mind. These spots are perfect for moments of calm reflection, away from the bustle of city life. Walking along the coast, the expansive views of the sea meeting the sky created a soothing backdrop for a relaxed pace of travel. In the afternoon, I hiked at Lianfeng Mountain Park (联峰山公园), where the forested trails and peaceful surroundings offered a refreshing contrast to the seaside. The climb to the summit was rewarded with breathtaking panoramic vistas of rolling hills and the distant glimmering sea. The sense of tranquility atop the mountain made the effort truly worthwhile. No visit here would be complete without seeing Laolongtou (老龙头), or the “Old Dragon’s Head,” where the Great Wall dramatically plunges into the Bohai Sea. Walking along this iconic section, I was struck by the powerful fusion of ancient stone and endless blue waters — a poetic and humbling sight that stays with you long after. Day 4! Wild Duck Lake (鸽子窝公园 / Geziwo Park), a peaceful wetland and bird sanctuary. The wooden boardwalks meandered through marshes alive with the calls of migratory birds, making it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike. The fresh, crisp air and natural beauty here offered a rejuvenating escape from urban life. To complete the experience, I explored Qinhuangxiaoxiang (秦皇小巷), a charming old street in the city where traditional shops and local snack vendors bustled with life. Here, the vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere gave me a genuine taste of local culture and everyday living. Throughout my stay, the seafood was exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and abundant. From grilled squid by the seaside to steamed shellfish and local specialties, the culinary delights perfectly complemented the tranquil setting. For those seeking a blend of peaceful nature, rich history, and delicious seafood, Qinhuangdao offers a quietly captivating escape. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind and discover a less-traveled part of China’s coastline.
