Moon Mountain Residence Dali B&B is now open! 🏠🏠Dali Dong Village by the river Moon Mountain Residence Dali B&B is located in Dali Dong Village, Zaima Town, Rongjiang County, about 25 kilometers away from Rongjiang County. It is rich in resources, with dense nanmu trees, and rows of mortise and tenon-style green-tiled stilt houses, with gurgling streams and rapids in the middle. Under your feet is an ancient stone road built in the 58th year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty. Nearby flows the clear and shallow Lidong Creek that runs through the village. The drum tower standing on the pebbles in front of you is the gathering center of the Dong village. 🌉The majestic Dong quadrangle, the unique grain drying barn, and the five flower bridges (also called "Fengli Bridge", which, like the drum tower, are the landmark buildings of the Dong village) are leisurely and successively built across the stream. It is said that these five flower bridges have a history of hundreds of years and have gone through vicissitudes of life, witnessing the history and honor and disgrace of Dalisi Village. The village is surrounded by lush ancient trees, including more than 400 ancient nanmu trees, which embody the traditional concept of "old people protect the village, and ancient trees protect the village" of harmony between the Dong people and nature. The houses in the village are all three- and four-sided wooden buildings with poles and railings. There are 5 wind and rain bridges of different sizes and styles in the village, with wooden structures and green tile roofs, all of which have a history of hundreds of years. The roads leading into and inside the village are all paved with bluestone, which is neat and clean. There are towering ancient trees around the village, and the ecological environment is well preserved. The drum tower, granary, flower bridge and nanmu trees also have a history of a hundred years. They have gone through many vicissitudes and witnessed the rise and fall, honor and disgrace of Dali Dong Village. Dali Village was included in the World Cultural Heritage Tentative List in 2006, became one of the first batch of traditional villages in China in 2012, and the Dali Ancient Buildings Group became a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2021.
