It takes 8 hours by sleeper train from Hanoi Station. After arriving at Lao Cai Station, take a bus or taxi for about an hour and you will see the city! The city is located near the border with China and is 1,600m above sea level! The city itself is small, but it is mostly slopes and the climb is quite tough🚶 There are ethnic people all over the city and they try to sell you things, but the prices are quite high, so try to bargain!
