Beautiful lake by the castle

Lake Alpsee is located near the famous Neuschwanstein Castle. It takes approximately 10min to walk from the lake to the foot of the hill leading to the castle. During my time at the lake, I met a few people who didn't manage to book a tour at the castle as the slots were all sold out. They decided to head to the lake to spend the afternoon as such. The disappointment soon disappeared as they stood at the lake in awe of its beauty. There are a few cafes and restaurants by the lake if you prefer to admire the lake from indoors.
