I took half a day off on Friday afternoon and rushed straight to the Shanghai Ancient Love Scenic Area. My goal was clear: to play from day to night, to see all the shows and experience all the attractions I wanted, mainly for stress relief and to try new things. I took a break afterward, as watching it for so long can make you a little dizzy. Then, I timed it perfectly and slowly strolled to the Crossing Street to wait. The "Crossing Flash Mob" is a 10-minute interactive show with a very fast pace. 👏 The moment the cheongsam-clad beauties and suit-clad handsome men performed their trendy Chinese dance, the atmosphere of the entire street was instantly energized. I snapped a few photos with my phone; they were incredibly atmospheric and barely needed editing. 📸 Later in the show, the performers would pull tourists from the surrounding area into a dance party, and I could feel the relaxed freedom even standing on the sidelines. As dusk settled, the crowd began to gather at the Guozhuang Square. "Electronic Guozhuang Carnival" didn't have many complicated rules; it was simply strangers forming a circle, holding hands, and letting loose. 🎶 Dancing to the rhythm of the ethnic minority music, most of the fatigue accumulated during the day disappeared with each step. Once my heartbeat calmed down a bit, I went to the "Blooming Flowers Bar" on the third floor. The moment the lights dimmed, languid jazz filled my ears, and skirts twirled on the dance floor. 💃 Don't be intimidated by the elegant scene; when the performers smile and extend their hands to invite you onto the dance floor, just follow the waltz rhythm. That dazed feeling of turning around in that song felt like a brief, lingering dream. The grand finale, of course, was the main show, "Shanghai Eternal Love." 🎭 This grand song and dance performance isn't a dry history lesson; it seamlessly blends the elegance of Jiangnan (southern China) with the modern glamour of Shanghai's past, all captured in a captivating stage visual. Watching the ideals and passion of an era of awakening and the rapidly changing Shanghai of today unfold before your eyes is truly awe-inspiring, making it well worth the ticket price. After the show, stroll out into the night and remember to take another look at the Time Trail or the Magic Forest. The park under the night lights offers a completely different experience. 🌃 The day's activities alternate between outdoor and indoor activities, so even rainy days won't detract from the main experience. The biggest fear when traveling is carrying a lot of stuff, but here you can find self-service baggage storage in the entrance hall.
