If you're looking for a great summer getaway near Nanning, Damingshan is definitely a top choice, even ranking high across Guangxi. In recent years, many visitors from both inside and outside the region have flocked to Damingshan, earning it countless loyal fans. Over the past few years, numerous homestays of all sizes have sprung up around the Shanglin area of Damingshan, but the newly opened "Ashuyuanzi" in Shanglin's Macao Village stands out as particularly special and has recently gained immense popularity. Before summer vacation, we came across some online introductions, and just a few photos were enough to captivate us. So, at the start of our holiday, we immediately planned a trip here. Below is a guide, along with some of our experiences and impressions. **Transportation**: The homestay is located halfway up Damingshan. Navigate directly to "Shanglin Ashuyuanzi Resort Hotel." It takes about 100 minutes from Nanning. The last 5 kilometers consist of winding mountain roads—well-maintained, wide, and without steep slopes, though there are many curves. The final 700 meters are narrower, so drive slowly. **Rooms**: All rooms are spacious (the smallest is 60 sqm, the largest 120 sqm) and feature mountain views with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering unobstructed vistas of the stunning scenery below—every glance is like a "thousand-mile landscape painting." We stayed in the largest family room, 120 sqm with twin beds and a double-decker slide children's bed. The entire room was bright and airy, giving a refreshing and uplifting feeling. A particularly brilliant touch was a mirror on the vanity that perfectly reflected the mountains opposite, resembling an ink-wash painting at first glance—a stroke of genius in design. Most rooms are twin-bedded, spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 children, with some even accommodating 3 adults and 3 kids. The suites offer excellent value for money. A 5-minute walk from the homestay leads to a mountain stream with three small pools. The water is crystal-clear, emerald-green, and incredibly cool—perfect for a summer dip. Platforms and steps are built beside the pools, with streetlights along the path and night lights by the water, making it very convenient.
