The Shengsi Archipelago's Gouqi Island

Departing from Shanghai Nanpu, passing through Shenjiawan Wharf and Shengsi Main Island before arriving at Gouqi Island. The seawater 🌊 is visibly clear to the naked eye, transitioning from murky to clear to azure, with the dividing line even very distinct. Gouqi Island and Shengshan Island are connected by a bridge. The total area of the two islands is not large. The dock that serves the Shanghai direction is the Ganxie Wharf on Gouqi Island. There are not many transportation options on the island; buses leave when full and standing passengers are not allowed ❎. We arrived late and walked directly from the dock, strolling all the way from Ganxie Village to Dawang Beach 🏖️. The sea was very blue, the scenery beautiful, and it was a rare good weekend weather with a comfortable temperature! After resting briefly at the guesthouse, we hiked toward Lixi Village in the southern part of Gouqi Island. It was sunset 🌄, and Lixi Village glittered under the golden glow of the setting sun. The coastal line along the southern part of Lixi Village is magnificent, with the sunset adding more color to the coastal rocks, boats, and waves! Overall, Gouqi Island is stunning and can be considered the closest "sea" to Shanghai. This is the true feeling of the ocean—vast, blue, and clear! Perhaps the meaning of travel lies in the feeling of certainty mixed with the unknown. "Certainty" because travel requires a destination you long for and want to visit, and "unknown" refers to the unexpected surprises and delights beyond the plan during the journey!
