This time, we stayed at Yinlanyunshe Homestay right by Dajiuhu Lake, with mountain views from the window and an ancient town just outside the door—perfect! 🌿 Trip Highlights: Day 1: Arrive at Pingqian Ancient Town at noon and check in at Yinlanyunshe (the homestay is perfectly located, just a 5-minute walk to the lake). In the afternoon, take a walk around Dajiuhu or rent a bike to cycle around the lake. The sunset here is especially beautiful, with the lake reflecting the evening glow like a painting. For dinner, explore the ancient town and try "Dajiuhu Fish Head King"—freshly caught lake fish that's incredibly delicious. Day 2: Wake up early to see the morning mist over the lake (we recommend booking a lake view room at the homestay!). After breakfast, drive 15 minutes to Shennongding Scenic Area. It’s best to buy the scenic area shuttle bus ticket for an easy visit. Remember to bring a jacket as the temperature at the summit is only 18°C. For lunch, return to the ancient town and enjoy the smoked meat hotpot at "Shanye Nongjia." In the afternoon, drive 40 minutes to Tianshengqiao Scenic Area and experience the thrilling cliffside plank walk. Day 3: Sleep in and enjoy coffee on the homestay terrace, then stroll through the ancient town’s handicraft shops to buy wild mushrooms and wild honey as souvenirs. For lunch, try the ancient town’s hanging pot rice before leisurely heading back. ✨ Practical Tips: 1. Use Gaode Map to search for "Yinlanyunshe Homestay" for navigation; parking is available right at the homestay entrance. 2. During the peak season in July and August, book your room at least 2 weeks in advance; lake view rooms are especially popular. 3. Be sure to bring a light down jacket! The mountain temperature difference is surprisingly large. 4. The Dajiuhu lake trail is 6 km long; comfortable sports shoes are a must. 5. The ancient town is very quiet after 8 PM; if you want late-night snacks, buy them early. 🏡 About the Homestay: Yinlanyunshe is located on the main street of Pingqian Ancient Town, decorated in a simple natural wood style. The bedding and toiletries are carefully selected. The most stunning feature is the rooftop star room, where you can lie down and see the Milky Way on clear nights.
