I celebrated my first birthday in Shenzhen 🎂 at Tomacado, a Western restaurant located in the Joy City Center in Gangxia. The decor is themed around flowers, creating a first-class atmosphere and perfect for celebrations and gatherings. There's a line of floral decorations as soon as you enter. If you're celebrating your birthday, be sure to contact the restaurant in advance; they'll provide special decorations and a small birthday cake, perfect for photos and check-in. The food at Tomacado is beautifully presented, and the prices and taste are both good. I ordered the Black Truffle Beef Tart (¥68), Lemon Pineapple Chicken Wings (¥68), Sukiyaki Beef Pasta (¥98), Mushroom Rice Balls (¥58), and Slow-Cooked Salmon Porridge Rice (¥98). I especially recommend the Sukiyaki Beef Pasta, which was rich and flavorful, with the perfect consistency. Tip: For a group get-together, order the Mushroom Italian Rice Balls. The mushroom and rice aroma are quite nice, and the texture is crispy. However, because they're made with Italian rice, they're quite filling. Sharing is fine, but if you're just two people, you'll be full after just one, and it'd be a shame not to be able to enjoy anything else.
