It's magical, watching the Angel Road disappear and reappear before my eyes🏝️

#RegisterAugustHotelTester2025 I stayed in Shodoshima for a few days and was delighted to have chosen an Angel Road view room at the Shodoshima International Hotel. From the room, I could gaze out over the vast Seto Inland Sea and Angel Road, a view even more stunning than from the Yukugaoka Observatory. We looked out at all hours, watching the golden sand path gradually widen, disappear when we looked back, and reappear the next day. It was truly magical, and I deeply felt the wonder of nature. Angel Road connects Bentenjima and Yoshima. The path opens twice daily, three hours before and after low tide. The hotel displays low tide times daily, but be aware that low tide can sometimes occur late at night or early in the morning, so be sure to check the Shodoshima low tide schedule before planning your trip. Getting There: 1. Take a boat from Takamatsu to Tonosho, then transfer to the hotel's shuttle bus (reservations required in advance). 2. If you're not staying at the hotel, you can also get off at the hotel by bus.
