Dusit Thani Laguna Pool View Room 325

Booked a stay in the Deluxe Laguna Pool View Room, room number 325. Do book this room instead of the normal deluxe Laguna room as that room type faces a construction site. Once we entered the room, a nice fragrance was the first thing we noticed. The room was a spacious 36 sqm metres and the view of the pool from the room gave the stay a very resort vibe. The king size bed was very comfortable and there was even a pillow menu where you can choose from a variety of pillow types. A 55 inch Samsung Smart TV was provided and besides a wide variety of channels available, it also came with a selection of movies on demand that was free to watch. While not the latest movies, it was something nice to have. Next to the tv was a media hub with hdmi connection so can use that to plug in your media stick or laptop to use on the tv. Casting was also on the tv for android devices if you prefer. Other things we loved about the room included the live orchid flower plant in the room. The coffee machine was also a Lavazza brand one instead of the more common Nespresso brand. Three capsules were provided and the coffee was lovely. 4 types of teas bags (from Ronnefeldt) were also provided. Mini bar items were complimentary as well and included bottled water (still and sparkling), lemonade, coconut water, 100 Plus, a muesli bar and a pack of nuts. The toilet was also nicely sized, with separate shower and toilet cubicles. No bath tub though so bath tub lovers will be slightly disappointed. And while there are no double vanity sinks, the sink is long so two persons can comfortably use the sink together. Toiletries are by Green Potion and smelt great. One thing to note is that the shower water pressure was a little Low and that water splashes out of the shower cubicle and even a toilet placed outside the cubicle was insufficient. All in all, a lovely hotel room which is spacious and luxurious with lovely view of the pool and golf course. Can also see planes taking off and depending on which runway is used, the planes can take off just overhead. The sound of the planes can be heard from the room but the sound was faint so not much of an issue there. Day curtains and curtains have to be manually operated. #muststay
