Ibis Ambassador Suwon Junior Suite Room

The hotel reception is located on the 1st floor, while the guest rooms are on floors 8 to 12. I was assigned a room on the top floor, the 12th floor. Upon entering, the room appears larger than what I saw on the website. Being the room at the very end, a pillar extends into the room, adding extra space to the room. However, the view is obstructed as the windows are covered with wire mesh and blinds, leaving no scenery to enjoy. While I've seen wall views before, this is the first time I've encountered windows completely blocked off. Other open rooms seemed to have the same setup, so I decided to give up on the view altogether. The windows are double-layered, and if you climb onto a chair, you can catch a glimpse of the outside through the gap. The reason for this setup remains unclear. Additionally, the windows are fixed and cannot be opened. The room itself is quite spacious, and since it was renovated in 2020, its condition is better than expected from the outside. Smaller rooms have no view at all, and even the suite is similar in this regard. The bathroom is in good condition, featuring a large bathtub and a spacious layout. On the 1st floor, there is a Starbucks, making it a convenient hotel for coffee lovers. It even includes a Starbucks Reserve. Across the street, behind Suwon City Hall, lies Ingye-dong, known as the Gangnam of Suwon. There’s also CGV Dong-Suwon nearby, a neighborhood I’ve visited a few times before. Breakfast was not included, and it takes about 7 minutes by taxi to reach Suwon Bus Terminal. Thank you.
