Guanziling Dadongshan, Tainan's highest peak, Xiaobaiyue hiking

#AprilGoodDestinations2025 Challenge Tainan's highest peak, #Dadongshan, which is 1,241 meters high. Dadong Mountain is one of the Small Hundred Peaks located near Guanziling. It is considered to be of intermediate difficulty. Starting from the parking lot of Xianzu Temple, it is about 10 kilometers round trip and takes about 5 hours. The altitude difference is 780 meters. The middle and latter half are mostly gravel roads, which are not easy to walk. The difficulty is higher than Dadong Mountain in Chiayi. Climbing Dadong Mountain really makes you sweat like crazy. Although there are shade trees along the way, climbing all the way is quite tiring. Before reaching the triangulation point and the ridge pavilion, you will pass by two small pavilions where you can rest. After reaching the summit, hikers usually go to the pavilion on the ridge to make tea and eat. They have a great time chatting with friends, and some even sleep there.
