Tokashiki Island in the Kerama Islands is easily accessible from Naha, making it a convenient remote island experience! The waters are so clear they're often referred to as Kerama Blue. There are numerous shops offering marine activities like diving, snorkeling, and boating. There are also shops, cafes, and guesthouses scattered throughout, making it a well-equipped island for even beginners. ◎ There's a local bus from Tokashiki Port to Aharen Beach, but many companies offer shuttle service if you book a guesthouse or marine tour, so it's a good idea to inquire in advance. I also used a diving tour company for my trip.♪ [From Naha Port to Tokashiki Island] 🚢 Tokashiki Ferry (approx. 70 minutes one way/¥1,690 adults) 🛥️ Marine Liner Tokashiki (approx. 40 minutes one way/¥2,530 adults) 👆 I took the Marine Liner Tokashiki on the way there and the Tokashiki Ferry on the way back, but if you're using similar boats for a round-trip, you can save a little by purchasing a round-trip ticket. ✍️The Marine Liner Tokashiki is quite bumpy. If you're prone to seasickness, we recommend a less bumpy ferry. (Example: If you use the Tokashiki ferry for both your outbound and return trips... a round-trip ticket costs ¥3,210.) 👆Prices, departure times, and travel times vary, so we recommend choosing a ferry that best suits your travel plans.
