Tokyo Disneyland (July 2024)

Last July, our 5-day, 4-night Tokyo trip went to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea for one day each (I couldn't choose 😅). Since it's July, Japan can get pretty hot, everyone! It also drizzles constantly. Plus, Disneyland doesn't have fireworks during this time (make sure to check the website carefully, I didn't check after booking). It was monsoon season, so there were no fireworks. But there weren't a lot of people, mostly families and young children. Even so, we managed to collect 11 machines. Hehe. Monster Inc. Ride & Go Seek Fun and cute. It's a laser tag game where you compete to score points with your friends. Cinderella Fairytale Hall It features various scenes from Cinderella, both in pictures and with figures at various points in the castle. It felt like you were strolling through a museum. Snow White's Adventure It's a bit scary. Not for little kids, but kids scream when they get in. I think there's a sign warning you that the rides go a bit fast. And then there's a scene where the witch comes out and says "hahaha." Peter Pan's Flight I really like it. It feels like taking a boat ride to see Never Land, everyone. It's a dream come true. And we'll ride the boat past every scene from the story. It's a Small World It's cute, you know. Every place is the same. The air conditioning is nice and cool. Pooh's Hunny Hunt It's cute in its own way. And there are a lot of kids. The line is really long. How hot is it? Big Thunder Mountain It's almost the only thrilling ride. It's really exciting. The wait was really long. It was over an hour. It was only a little longer. It's worth it. The inside is also cute. Star Tour the Adventures Continue It feels like watching a 3D movie and the seats rock a little. Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast It's the best in the park. You should go. If you don't go, you'll miss out because it's so good. It's so beautiful. Every detail is great. The line was the longest, but you have to accept it. (We didn't go on the first ride because there were so many people in line when we entered the park. We went in the afternoon when there were a few less people. It's also a good idea to buy some food to take with you to the queue, just in case you need to eat to kill time.) Splash Mountain This one is also exciting, and a little wet. Space Mountain I went there as a kid and remember it being so exciting, like my favorite. But this time, I felt it was just so-so. Not very exciting at all. And it seemed like everything was old, not very impressive. I heard it's closed for renovations this year, so I think it's worth it. Tip: To get to Disneyland, you can just tap your IC card to enter. You can also tap the train to DisneySea. You don't need to buy an additional ticket, everyone. Tip 2: Personally, having been to Disneyland and DisneySea together, I've seen the difference. DisneySea is lovely, worthwhile, and much more exciting than Disneyland. Honestly, next time I go, I'll probably just go to DisneySea. I think Disneyland needs a lot of improvements. Right now, it seems so understaffed. Most of the rides are just for kids. Tip 3: I'll reiterate, everyone, go in the month when the fireworks are on. Avoid July! Don't go! Tip 4: Learn how to use the Tokyo Disney Resort app before you go, everyone. Redeeming the 40th Anniversary Priorities Pass or purchasing Premier Access tickets through the app requires charging via the card linked to the app, which will require an opt-in confirmation. So, be sure to check whether roaming is enabled. For those who purchase an eSIM, you can only enable roaming (receiving SMS without any charges). Just don't hang up or answer calls, or you'll be charged. Roaming and data are separate, so be sure to double-check. #tokyo #disneylandtokyo
