Valencia | Museu de Belles Arts de València: A Free and Unexpected Art Experience!

#September2025 Can you believe it? Such a wonderful art museum is free! Upon entering the Valencia Museum of Fine Arts, the friendly staff kindly informed me, "Admission is free, please take your time." This generosity gave me a fantastic first impression. The museum spans three floors. While it primarily displays paintings, there's also a section dedicated to sculptures. Each piece is stunning, ensuring you'll spend two or three hours there without getting bored. Don't worry if you get tired; there's a beautiful courtyard on the first floor where you can relax. The air-conditioned interior is a perfect escape from the Spanish summer heat. Besides the art, there's also a small cafeteria with vending machines offering affordable snacks and drinks, perfect for refueling. The collection was far more extensive than I'd expected! In addition to a large collection of religious paintings and drawings, there's also a wealth of impressive modern art. Although the tour is primarily in Spanish and Valencian, simply admiring the artworks is worth it. Best of all, the museum is easily accessible, both on foot and by public transportation. This museum exceeded my expectations and I will definitely visit again. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Valencia!
