Wakoshi Tobu Hotel (Budget accommodation near Tokyo)

The hotel is Tobu Hotel, located in Wako City, Saitama Prefecture. It is a hotel operated by the Tobu Company, the owner of Skytree, a railway company group that also has chains in Tokyo Shibuya, Kinshicho, and Shinagawa. The reason for staying in Saitama when traveling to Tokyo is because the cost of accommodation in Tokyo is expensive. Although it is in Saitama Prefecture, it takes 13 minutes by train from Ikebukuro, so it is like staying in Bucheon when traveling to Seoul. It is a 1-minute walk from Wako Station, where the Tobu Line, Yurakucho Line, and Fukutoshin Line stop. It takes less than 30 minutes from Shinjuku Station to get to the hotel. If Tokyo accommodation is expensive, you can easily find a place in the suburbs within 30 minutes. There are many options, such as Yokohama, Kawasaki, and Chiba. Wako City is also close to the west of Tokyo, so it is easy to plan your route. On the 1st floor, there is Starbucks and my favorite grocery store Seijoishii, and around the station, there are also Kaldi, Matsuya, Gasto, Royal Host, Gyoza no Osho, etc. If you take the bus, you can get to Nerima in 20 minutes, so you don't have to go back to the train. Single rooms start at 17 square meters. The double rooms I stayed in are the same size as singles, but the beds are bigger. The hotel is on the 7th floor in a small city with a population of 80,000, but there are no tall buildings around, so the window view is wide open. The reception is on the 4th floor, connected by a dedicated elevator. The guest rooms are on the 4th to 7th floors. The 3rd floor is the restaurant area. There is no separate hotel restaurant, but the system is to provide breakfast by forming an alliance with one of the restaurants on the 3rd floor. The breakfast is a set meal + buffet, so it felt quite abundant. Japanese business hotels often outsource restaurants or leave it to nearby restaurants.
